About The Owner
Meet Savanna DiStefano, the owner of Savvy Shoots. Savanna is in her 20's and loves travelling, meeting new people and visiting all the best coffee shops in the towns that she travels to! She was born and raised in Fraser, MI and has stayed in the Metro Detroit area, other than the four years that she went to Arkansas for College. She is in her second year of teaching high school, and she loves working with her students and watching them grow as young creatives. She is Currently planning her wedding which will take place Fall of 2023! In Savanna's free time she enjoys working out, reading and even sewing when she finds the time to do so.
History Of The Business
Growing up, Savanna always had an interest in anything art related and she loved to dabble with cameras. Her mother bought her a beginner camera just before she started college, before she ever took photography seriously. She took a photography class in college and learned how to use a DSLR. Her mom then surprised her with a Canon Rebel her senior year of college, and that is what she used to start taking more photographs. She used this to take photos during the two jobs that she had at the time: a social media manager for a church and a full-time babysitter. She loved learning how to use her camera and practicing it while she was nannying and using her skills to help out at church. She never thought about making photography a business, but families started asking her to take photos for them and eventually it just happened. Being a professional photographer was not something that Savanna ever dreamed about. She likes think her mom was the real catalyst in all of this because if it wasn't for her, she would have never discovered a love for photography. After her mom passed unexpectedly in 2017, she became more passionate about photography because it's truly the only power we have to stop time and capture memories. She wants everyone to be able to capture memories with people that they love.
About The Business
Savanna started her business in 2021 and officially registered as an LLC in 2022. Savvy shoots is based out of Metro Detroit, Michigan. Savanna offers Wedding and family photography services. Her most popular photography service that she offers are her Family couples, and seniors photography sessions.
Future Plans For Savvy Shoots
Savanna's overall big goal for her business is to be her own boss and work her photography business full time and make that her main career. She is planning to roll out some new bundles and packages, and she is super excited about all the weddings she has to shoot this summer too!
